villa in Siena, Tuscany on the south hills of Siena, Italy.
Villa Basilio dates back to the 18th century, when it was the
manor villa of this small Etruscan village set in the classic
Sienese landscape of cypress-lined avenues, castles and farms
with vineyards and olive groves. The location of this luxury
villa is 30km south from Siena giving you easy access for daytrips
to all over Tuscany including Florence. Brunello wine is grown
in this region of Siena, historic towns and monasteries along
the ancient Roman and pilgrim roads. From here you can see two
differents panoramas: “crete senesi” and the “Crevole”
river valley.
The luxury villa sleeps 12 people with 6 double bedrooms,
the 2 level masonary villa opens out to a vast terrace garden
with terracotta planters and vine shaded pergolas. Here you
can enjoy candle-lit dining "al fresco" with sunset
views.
Ground Floor: On the ground floor there
is an elegant dining room with period furniture and a table
to seat up to 12 people, a sitting room with lots of couches,
stereo, tv for relaxing, a large country kitchen with all
modern appliances: dishwasher , fridge, freezer, coffee maker,
toaster, microwave etc. another sitting area close to back
garden.
First Floor: On the first floor there are
6 spacious bedrooms all decorated with luxurious country furniture,
art and antiques and each has a pleasant view, four of them
have private en-suite bathrooms, all equipped with showers
and modern facilities, they have queen sized bed, one includes
an extra day-bed. The other two bedrooms are as follows: a
queen size canopied bed and a twin bedroom. There is another
bathroom with shower which is located off the corridor and
the 6th bath with shower is located downstairs.
A few step up on the adjacent terrace is the private 30 foot
long swimming pool and a sunbathing area overlooking the Crevole
river valley.
This Sienese area is famous for its long history and abundant
natural beauty, you can find ancient hills towns dating back
to the Etruscan and Roman times which tower over the landscape.
Montalcino and Montepulciano are two towns very famous for
their production of Wine: “Nobile di Montepulciano”
and “Brunello di Montalcino”. The monastery of
S. Antimo with Gregorian chant, the Monte Oliveto abbey with
renaissance frescos, the magical ruins of San Galgano and
the fabulous gardens of Villa La Foce are some of the beautiful
places nearby to visit. The local village is a fine example
of these breathtaking villages, carefully restored Villa Basilio
offers it’s visitors a lovely surprise with it’s
medieval walls and historic center , there are all types of
shops, restaurants, bars and gardens.
The breakfast and the daily cleaning (6 days) are included.

you at the cost of 25euros/person or just a few doors down
is a small bar that also serves meals.
